Family law in Australia continues to undergo changes. Superannuation is now considered property that can be divided between parties to a marriage. Financial agreements now give greater freedom for parties to a de facto relationship or a marriage to reach agreements about property and spousal maintenance. The rules that govern the conduct of legal proceedings have recently changed, as has the court's approach to parenting issues. We practise exclusively in family law and are in touch with these changes. |
